Geordie youngster Bobby Clark is set for his Liverpool debut - in the Reds' pre-season tour of Asia.
Clark has been called up to Jurgen Klopp's first-team squad and will be in the squad for clashes against Manchester United in Thailand and Crystal Palace in Singapore. Klopp came close to naming Clark - son of Newcastle favourite Lee - on the bench in the FA Cup last season.
And now, after signing the attacking midfielder from Newcastle last year he wants to take a closer look at him. Klopp took the step of holding face to face talks with the 17-year-old last year during contract talks and helped persuade him to choose the red shirts of Liverpool as opposed to the black and white of Newcastle, the club he supported as a kid.
Clark has already been training with alongside England star Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander Arnold and Roberto Firmino in pre-season. Now he will get the experience of travelling with the first-team.
