Michigan State football lost a beloved member of it’s community this week. Over the weekend, former MSU linebacker Adam Decker tragically passed away, a sad fact that was confirmed on Tuesday by former MSU strength and conditioning coach Ken Mannie on social media.
Decker was a key player in the early Mark Dantonio years at MSU, and is remembered as a leader on the team and for his sensational stop on fourth down against Iowa, where he stopped Shonn Greene to seal the win for the Spartans in the 2008 Homecoming game.
Details are his passing are not publicly available at this time and we keep our thoughts with his family and friends during this time.
Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Spartan Adam Decker. Tough yet loving, hardworking, unselfish, giving, steadfast, committed…as good a person you could ever meet. A true friend, a great Spartan. Love and condolences to Adam’s family, friends, and teammates. pic.twitter.com/wVAKDGIMkJ
