Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has been installed as the new head coach of Australian A-League outfit Macarthur FC, signalling his first job in football management.
The former United ace, who scored 66 goals in 152 games for the Old Trafford club, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal and will officially take over the reins on July 1. He will replace outgoing boss Ante Milicic, who has made the decision to step down after two years in charge for family reasons.
The role will mark Yorke's first senior coaching position, meaning he will be desperate to make a strong impression once he officially starts work in less than two months' time. The former Trinidad and Tobago international is no stranger to Australian football, playing for Sydney FC during the 2005/06 season.

On landing his first managerial position, Yorke told Macarthur's website : "I am extremely excited in what is my first-ever senior full-time Head Coaching role, to take the reins at Macarthur FC. Having played in the inaugural A-League men's season, I have continually followed the competition, and am aware of both the footballing and fan demands in Australia.
"I look forward to adding a positive contribution and improve the game at all levels. However, of course my primary focus will be with the Bulls, to deliver them success and a style of football that defined me as a player."
The Bulls' chief executive, Sam Krslovic, added: "On behalf of the Board of Macarthur FC, I would like to welcome Dwight to the club. Dwight's football exposure and achievements speak volumes for themselves.
"As a young club, the appointment of Dwight is synonymous with our evolution."
Yorke, who won six trophies during his four-year spell at United, including the Champions League in 1999, retired from playing back in 2009, following a three-year spell back in England with Sunderland. He made 62 appearances for the Black Cats, scoring just six goals.
As well as being installed as Macarthur's new boss, the 50-year-old will also coach the A-League All Stars in a friendly against Spanish heavyweights Barcelona. The contest will take place at Sydney's Accor Stadium later this month.
