Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo reacts furiously to Al-Nassr staff during semi-final defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo reacted furiously towards his own bench as he left the field at half-time of Al-Nassr's match on Monday evening.

Ronaldo left Manchester United in December last year after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he criticised the Old Trafford club, manager Erik ten Hag as well as former players. After finding little interest from European sides in signing him following November's Qatar 2022 World Cup, the Portuguese icon left for Saudi Arabia and joined Al-Nassr.

The Faris Najd are one of the most successful clubs in the history of the nation and were looking to win yet another trophy as they took on Al-Wehda in the semi-final of the King Cup of Champions. However, things were did not go to plan as they lost the match 1-0 after Jean-David Beauguel's 23rd-minute strike.

Ronaldo, who himself had seen an effort he should have scored from close range saved in the opening stages, was incandescent with rage as he headed for the changing rooms at half-time. Footage following the whistle shows the Al-Nassr captain shaking his head repeatedly as he walked off and upon reaching the dugout he began to remonstrate with his side's coaching staff before heading down the tunnel.

The forward was also visibly frustrated at the full-time whistle, making a swift exit from the pitch. Ronaldo has refound his goal-scoring touch since leaving the Premier League, with 11 goals in his first 13 matches for Al-Nassr but failed to find the back of the net as Al-Wehda held on to win the match 1-0.

The loss will come as a further blow to Ronaldo, who also stormed off at full-time during his side's goalless draw with Al Feiha earlier this month.
