Former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is searching for a new club after leaving Nottingham Forest.
The England international rose through United’s academy and made more than 200 appearances for his boyhood club before his contract expired last summer. Lingard was snapped up as part of Forest’s well-documented transfer spree and made 17 league appearances as Steve Cooper led his team to safety.
Lingard was a regular for Forest in the first half of the campaign but a mix of injuries and competition for places saw him limited to just 60 minutes of action in the Premier League after the turn of the year. Forest announced that Lingard would be leaving the club at the end of his one-year deal and the 30-year-old has been tipped to sign for a club abroad.

The versatile forward could be set to follow in Lionel Messi’s footsteps and make a move to the US. That’s according to bookmaker bet365, who list any MLS club as Lingard's most likely destination at 5/2.
However, Besiktas are valued as another possible option at 4/1, with the Turkish side having counted English duo Dele Alli and Nathan Redmond as part of their squad this season. Lingard, who scored the winning goal for United in the 2016 FA Cup final, is equally considered a target for Besiktas’ bitter rivals Fenerbache (4/1).
Sheffield United are the English club thought most likely to give Lingard another chance in the top-flight, following their promotion from the Championship (10/1). The Blades are some way down the list of potential suitors, though, behind an outlandish move to Champions League finalists Inter Milan (10/1) and signing a contract for any Saudi Arabian side (7/1).
