Former Livingston defender joins Hamilton Accies

Hamilton Accies have announced the signing of defender Jackson Longridge following his release from Livingston at the end of last season.

The 28-year-old left-back spent the second half of last season on loan at Accies' rivals Cove Rangers, who have joined them in dropping down from the Championship to League One this season.

Longridge marks boss John Rankin's second new signing this summer, following the arrival of Lee Kilday last week.

Midfielder Scott Martin was also announced as having signed a new two-year deal.

Accies are expected to unveil another new signing later today.

A short statement from the club read: "We are delighted to announce today the signing of 28-year-old left back Jackson Longridge.

"Jackson joins us following a short on-loan spell at Cove Rangers, from Livingston FC.

"Welcome to Accies, Jackson!"
