Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has rubbished rumours he has asked to leave Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
The Brazil international was signed permanently in the summer by Steven Gerrard after impressing while on loan from Barcelona, but things have taken a turn for the worse since then.
Coutinho, who was was sold by Liverpool for £140 million in January 2018, has started just six Premier League matches for Aston Villa this season.

His lack of game time has led to rumours suggesting he could be on the move again in January. Reports in Brazil have claimed Coutinho wants to leave the Midlands and return to his homeland.
The attacker though has taken to his Instagram account to slam reports of him being unhappy at Villa Park, claiming these are "lies."
Coutinho said: "In the last few days I've seen a lot of news with my name but so far, okay, the problem is now that some lies have started and I'm here to clarify.
"NEVER and at any moment had any kind of conversation of mine asking to leave the club, because I'm happy here and my family too.
"My only focus now that I'm recovered from the injury is to work at the maximum every day, to play in a high level and help the club and my team mates to achieve our goals."
