Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez has just continued his incredible start to life in Brazil

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has continued his rich scoring form at new club Gremio, making it five goals in three games.

El Pistolero is loving life at the Brazilian side with his latest strike claiming an important three points as they set the early pace in Campeonato Gaucho.

The Uruguayan popped up with a minute of normal time remaining to earn Gremio a 1-0 home win over 10-man Brasil de Pelotas.

With the match heading toward a stalemate, a cross was flicked on by a De Pelotas player, Suarez received the cutback on the edge of the six-yard box in a crowded penalty area, and he shifted the ball on to his right foot before firing into the roof of the net.

The 36-year-old has already been dubbed as the biggest signing in Gremio's history as they continue their first season back in the Brazilian Serie A.

They're top of the Gaucho after two games with Suarez also also netting their winner in their opening-day 2-1 triumph at Caxias do Sul.

The Liverpool icon, who netted 82 goals in 133 appearances at Anfield, said after the win over Brasil de Pelotas.: "All the games are difficult.

"The rival came to make the game of the year for them. We have to face it like we did today and repeat it in all the games."

After tasting silverware with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid following departure from Liverpool, Suarez didn't have to wait long to be lifting a trophy in the colours of Immortal Tricolor.

His first-half hat-trick helped Gremio to the Recopa Gaucha success, achieved with a 4-1 win over Sao Luiz.
