Former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel squares up to rapper during intense moment on talk show

Former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel wasn't afraid of taking on a friendly 'challenge' when appearing on a talk show in his homeland.

The ex-Reds centre-back left Anfield in 2016 after spending eight years at the club. He made 320 appearances for Liverpool, and played under four different managers including Rafa Benitez, Roy Hodgson, Sir Kenny Dalglish and Jurgen Klopp.

Since leaving Merseyside, Skrtel has had spells in Turkey and Italy with Fenerbahce, Atalanta and Istanbul Basaksehir. He would return to his homeland in Slovakia in 2021 with Spartak Trnava, and recently signed for Raztocno last summer.

Skrtel recently appeared on a talk show on TV Nova Sport called 1:1, hosted by Petr Vetrovsky. In a video on Instagram, the host can be seen alongside Skrtel and a musician/boxer, Frayer Flexking.

In the video, Skrtel and Flexking can be seen jokingly pushing their heads towards one another. Vetrovsky captioned the video by asking who would win in a fight between the pair.

He wrote: “Martin Skrtel was not afraid of challenges from the owner of two KOs during the filming of 1:1 Sport show @frayer_flexking

“Who would win?”

Flexking himself posted the same video on his own Instagram account. He also posted the question of who would win in a fight between himself and the former Liverpool defender.

He wrote: “Martin Skrtel vs Flexking?????????????????? A Petr Vetrovsky Mr. Director directed today’s showdown.”
