Conleith Gilligan has been appointed as the new manager of Tyrone side Edendork for the 2023 season.
The former Derry star stepped down as manager of Kilcoo along with Richard Thorton in the aftermath of last month’s Ulster Club SFC Final defeat to Glen at the Athletic Grounds.
Gilligan and Thornton had coached the Magpies to All-Ireland success last term under the legendary manager Mickey Moran before taking the reins following Moran’s departure after their stunning victory over Kilmacud Crokes.

With Gilligan and Thornton at the helm, Kilcoo won their tenth Down SFC title in 11 seasons before defeating Ballybay and Enniskillen Gaels in the Ulster Club series.
However, they fell short in a thrilling final in Armagh last month with Malachy O’Rourke’s side prevailing 1-12 to 1-6.
The Ballinderry native takes over an Edendork side boasting such county stars as Darren McCurry, Niall Morgan and Conn Kilpatrick.
St Malachy’s were pipped by Galbally in the Tyrone Intermediate final in 2022, but defeated Moy in the League play-off to seal their return to the Senior ranks.
Gilligan has plenty of experience of Tyrone football having previously managed Derrytresk while he coached Coalisland to a county final appearance in 2016 while part of John McKeever’s management team.
