In a surprising turn of events in the world of college football, former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard has announced his decision to transfer to Ohio State. This comes after the departure of Kyle McCord, who made the choice to transfer to Syracuse. Howard, a seasoned player with one season of eligibility remaining, took to his social media channels to share the news with his followers.

During his time with the Wildcats, Howard proved himself to be a formidable force on the field, boasting a 12-5 record as a starter. His leadership skills shone through as he guided his team to victory in the 2022 Big 12 title game against TCU. The Wildcats' journey didn't stop there, as they went on to compete in the illustrious Pop-Tarts Bowl this past season.

However, with Kansas State looking to hand over the reins to promising five-star prospect Avery Johnson, who displayed his talent with a remarkable performance in the bowl game, Howard knew it was time to explore new opportunities. Contemplating offers from Miami and Southern California, the quarterback ultimately decided that Ohio State was the perfect fit.

Interestingly, Howard even toyed with the idea of declaring for the NFL draft. But after careful consideration, he chose to spend another year with the Buckeyes, honing his skills and making a lasting impact on the program.

Standing at an imposing 6-foot-5 and weighing over 240 pounds, Howard possesses the prototypical size that NFL scouts crave. Not only does he possess a powerful arm, but he also brings his running abilities to the table. With 27 starts under his belt and impressive career statistics of 5,786 passing yards and 48 touchdowns, Howard brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Buckeyes' roster.

The Buckeyes' disappointing exclusion from the College Football Playoff last season, following their defeat at the hands of Michigan, left a bitter taste in their mouths. With McCord's departure, Ohio State was forced to rely on Devin Brown against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. Unfortunately, Brown suffered an injury early on, leading to Lincoln Kienholz taking over for the remainder of the game, resulting in a 14-3 loss.

However, with the arrival of Will Howard, the Buckeyes now have a new quarterback who can step up and take charge. Not only does he bring experience, but he also brings a sense of anticipation and excitement, rekindling hope for a successful season ahead.

While we don't know what the future holds for Ohio State and Howard, one thing is for certain: the Buckeyes are ready to put last season's disappointments behind them and strive for greatness. With Howard at the helm, there's no telling what they can achieve.

As we eagerly await the upcoming college football season, all eyes will be on Will Howard as he dons the Ohio State colors. Will he remain a legend in Kansas State's history books while creating a new chapter in Ohio State's storied football program? Only time will tell, but one thing is guaranteed: it's going to be one thrilling ride. Stay tuned for more updates on this captivating journey.
