Ray Quinn has shared the joyful news that he has become a dad for the second time. The former X Factor star revealed his fiancé Emily Ashleigh had given birth to their first child earlier this month and shared their first photos of the adorable tot.
Ray, who shot to fame when he came runner-up to Leona Lewis in the ITV singing competition in 2006, is already dad to a little boy called Harry from his marriage to Emma Stephens, which ended in 2015.
Taking to social media, the former Hollyoaks actor 34, announced his baby girl's arrival while also sharing her very apt name. he penned alongside a set of sweet photos: "Summer Reign Quinn [sun and crown emoji] 04.09.2022. Indulging in every special moment with Our beautiful, precious little baby GIRL!"
The black and white images shows Ray and Emily holding two polaroid photos up together, one showing them cuddling their newborn and also a close-up of their newborn baby girl. To his post he added hashtags including 'precious' and 'in love'.
Dancing On Ice star Ray got engaged to school teacher Emily in 2020 after meeting each other in bar in 2017. Singer and actor Shane Nolan, who is also the son of EastEnders star Shane Richie and Loose Women's Coleen, was among the first to respond, writing: "Amazing news, congrats."
Hollyoaks star Jessamy Stoddart, who recently announced she was expecting her first child, replied: "Congratulations," with a string of heart emojis. And fans were also quick to share their congratulatory messages. @pinksweetheartxx wrote: "Beautiful name, congratulations."
@gemma.woodman echoed: "Aww congratulations to you all! Gorgeous name." @tracyharper138 commented: "So happy for you both, she’s beautiful." @hcooper09 added: "Oh my days!!!! Huge congratulations to you all!!! A little girl!!!! Such a beautiful name too! Hope mum and baby doing well!! Lots of love."
At the end of August Ray shared a photo of him cuddling up to his wife-to-be on holiday. Emily looked glowing in a blue mini dress while her man held a protective hand on her blossoming bump. He said at the time: "The countdown is on now. Going to miss this perfect bump!! but daddy can’t wait to meet you!"
