Millie Gibson has been flooded with compliments after capturing a 'golden hour' selfie during the festive season. The former Coronation Street actress has had a busy time of late, moving away from her family home in Manchester for Cardiff in order to work on her next project.
It was revealed last month that Millie, who exited the cobbles in September after three years playing Kelly Neelan, has landed the role of Doctor Who's new companion and will star alongside Ncuti Gatwa, who was revealed as the 15th Doctor earlier this year.
The 18-year-old will make her debut over the festive season in 2023 when Ncuti takes control of the Tardis. And while she hasn't given much away, she did reveal that she was on the move and recently shared a snap of her cute personalised Christmas present that she'll be able to take back to her new place with her after spending time with her family.
But in a break from her busy filming schedule, Millie found time to catch the winter rays and posed for a gorgeous selfie with an additional 'golden hour' glow. The former soap star could be seen donning an all-black, figure-hugging jumpsuit as she sat on the floor seemingly in front of a window.
Millie looked up towards the camera with a serious stare while she lifted one hand to meet her blonde locks, which she had chopped after leaving Corrie. "Black dress attire," the teen simply captioned the post before the comments section soon started to fill up with compliments.
Former co-star and off-screen bestie Tanisha Gorey was the first to respond. The Asha Alahan actress quickly replied: " You’re the light of my life." Fellow Corrie star Sally Ann Matthews wrote: " Oooo, she’s reet cute." While former on-screen mum Kel Allen commented: "Gorgeous babba."
But as well as compliments, there was a mix of excitement about Millie's upcoming role as well as some pleas for her Corrie return. @_ninajones said: "Bloody GORGEOUS." @alicearkless wrote: "Such a beaut." @billybarlowuk commented: "Ruby SunSLAY!!!!" @roadstar65 shared: "Looking absolutely stunning hope you had a great Christmas."
@_x_kellybrown_x_ echoed: "Gorgeous as always millie, i hope you're having a lovely christmas." @amyloujablonski replied: "You look so pretty! 2023 is going be a brilliant year for you I’m sure! So excited to see you as Ruby Sunday too." @allforcorrie posted: "billie piper vibes." @kevin.allcock.984 typed: "Please come back to the cobbles." While @ryan.l.h added: "Can’t wait to see you as ruby! You’re going to absolutely smash it!"
Earlier this month, Millie confirmed she had started work on Doctor Who, posting a picture on Twitter of a bunch of flowers in her new Welsh abode with a card that had two heart emojis followed by a plus and diamond sign. Alongside the picture, she wrote: "First day… officially a Cardiff resident ;) @bbcdoctorwho"
