The former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant has expressed his support for the recent ceasefire and hostage deal, acknowledging the efforts of both US President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump in facilitating the agreement. Gallant's statement, issued on Wednesday, did not mention or thank Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who dismissed him from his position in November 2024.
