Keane took charge of the Israeli Premier League club earlier this week and has moved to bring in Delap, who spent most of his playing career with Derby County and Stoke City.

He remained at the Potters until the start of this year.

Keane is surrounding himself with people he knows as he begins his first job as a manager.
Ireland's record goalscorer worked alongside Andy Liddell during Mick McCarthy's second spell with the national team and Liddell, a former player who became a fitness coach, has joined Maccabi in that capacity.
