Nick Knowles has issued a rallying cry to viewers of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here encouraging them to back contestant Mike Tindall.
Former campmate Nick, who finished sixth in the 2018 series of the ITV show, took to social media to ask fans to support rugby hero Mike as the pair are patrons of the same charity, Rugby For Heroes.
The DIY SOS star wrote: "I’d really appreciate everyone who kindly supported me on @imacelebrity to get behind @miketindall13. He is a patron with me of a veterans charity & helps many others. He’s a top bloke and a really down to earth type I can only say this as he’s away and can’t read it!"
Meanwhile, Twitter users were quick to respond to Nick in support of Mike with one commenting: "Don't know Mike personally but from what I've seen/heard of him over the years has led me to believe he's a very genuine, down to earth, all round great guy."
Another wrote: "I think even without your valuable endorsement he’s got the win in the bag. The camp loves him, Twitter and Meta love him. I reckon he’s already King of the jungle!"
A third added: "I’m not into the program but Mike would get my vote. Also @Rugbyforheroes is a fantasic charity in what it does."
And a fourth said: "Yes, he comes across as genuine and kind guy, hope he wins."
On Wednesday evening, however, it was suggested that Mike is reportedly being investigated for potentially breaching the show's strict Covid-19 rules.
Zara Tindall's husband, 44, is said to have potentially broken the regulations as he was photographed playing and joking around with a crew member.
It has been claimed that cast and crew were told to remain at least two metres apart at all times.
But, Mike was snapped giggling while he seemingly caught the female worker off guard and pretended to throw her off the pier in between shooting scenes for the ITV show.
I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
