Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 84, has been hospitalized after sustaining an injury during an official engagement in Luxembourg. The incident occurred while Pelosi was in Europe to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.
A spokesman for Pelosi, Ian Krager, confirmed that she is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals. Due to her condition, Pelosi is unable to attend the remaining events scheduled for her trip. Krager did not provide specific details regarding the nature of Pelosi's injury.
Despite the setback, Pelosi is looking forward to returning home to the United States soon. While she stepped down from her leadership position two years ago, Pelosi continues to serve in Congress and was re-elected to represent her San Francisco district in the recent November elections.
