Former Hibs keeper Kevin Dabrowski seals Raith Rovers free transfer after Easter Road exit

Former Hibs keeper Kevin Dabrowski has found a new club in Scotland.

The 24-year-old joined the Easter Road side from Lech Poznan back in 2017 but after just seven appearances in six years for the capital club - after playing mainly back-up role - he was released in the summer to seek a new challenge.

He spent part of the season on loan at Queen of the South with former Hibees midfielder Marvin Bartley and featured 14 times. But now he will take on a new challenge after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with Scottish Championship outfit Raith Rovers.

Boss Ian Murray will be hoping to be involved in the play-off shake-up this season and has already been busy in the market adding reinforcements. Attacking trio Jack Hamilton, Josh Mullin and Callum Smith have all signed on at Stark's Park with Dabrowski the latest to commit as he looks to nail down the No1 spot for the campaign ahead.

Speaking to the Raith Rovers website, boss Murray said: “It’s great to get Kevin on board, having been at Hibernian developing as a professional for several years it’s time for him to kick on and play regularly.

"He brings a big presence to our back line and will improve the more games he plays.

I want to express my Thanks to everyone behind the scenes here in Kirkcaldy and Poland in getting the deal done, and I look forward to working with Kevin when he returns from holiday”.

On his exit from Hibs, Dabrowski said: “Hibs will always mean a lot to me.

"I had a special relationship with the supporters and will always be thankful for the way they welcomed me into the club. I wish everyone at Hibs nothing but the best in the future.”
