Former healthy takeaway to reopen selling burgers and pizzas in Lady Bay

New fast food business Dough n Buns will be opening in the former premises of healthy takeaway Cheff in Lady Bay. The new store, in Trent Boulevard, will launch on Wednesday, November 9, at 2pm.

The 'dough' part refers to freshly made pizzas and desserts, while the 'buns' will be filled with burgers. "A big delight in every bite" is what the owners are promising, serving up to eight types of smashed beef burgers including Signature Big Boss Bun and four chicken burgers, amongst them the Hawaiian with pineapple and sweet chilli sauce.

Vegetarians can choose from a garden patty and halloumi or the vegan-friendly Portobello Mushroom Melt. Heathier 'bun-less' options include salads with Angus steak, grilled halloumi or peri peri chicken.

Pizza lovers have more than a dozen to choose from such as Greek Apollo, Milano, pepperoni or Uff Uff Mirchi (chicken tikka, spicy beef, green chilli, jalapeno, chilli flakes and peppers).

Sweet-toothed customers can indulge in three flavours of cookie dough - chocolate chip, white chocolate and raspberry and Ferrero Roche - or a chocolate shake. Kids meals of burgers, popcorn chicken and a 7in pizza are also on the menu.

A spokesman said: "Our aim is to become a recognised and admired fast food place and to have have a creative menu ranging from all over the world. Dough n Buns mission is to provide an edgy, vibrant place with the most up-to-date menu. We strive to provide the best quality delivery and collection service to all our customers across Nottingham." It joins a new craft beer and coffee shop that's also set to open.
