Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford is headed to the Super Bowl for the first time in his 13-year NFL career.
Stafford helped lead the L.A. Rams past the 49ers 20-17 on Sunday night in the NFC Championship, completing 31 of 45 passes for 337 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
The numbers tell us Stafford is a sure-fire Hall of Famer, but during his career Detroit, he was never given a support staff to make a deep playoff run.
Stafford has that in L.A., and it’s refreshing to see.
Fellow Bulldog teammates Sony Michel and Leonard Floyd will help represent the Dawgs at the Rams’ home field SoFi Stadium in L.A., the site of Super Bowl LV1 on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
The Rams will take on Joe Burrow and the AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals, which includes former Georgia center Trey Hill, who will also make his first career Super Bowl appearance.
