Nebraska Cornhuskers offensive tackle Jacob Hood has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Hood played in just three games with Nebraska during the 2023 and 2024 college football seasons, so it is not shocking that he is looking to transfer. Hood is likely looking for more playing time at his transfer destination.
At Nebraska, Hood played against UTEP and Wisconsin, which were both blowout victories. Hood played at Nebraska alongside a few other fellow Bulldogs in former Georgia tight end Arik Gilbert and defensive end MJ Sherman (3.5 sacks and 26 tackles in 2024). It is unclear if Hood will play in Nebraska’s bowl game, the Pinstripe Bowl.
Hood began his career at the University of Georgia as a member of the class of 2022. The 6-foot-8, 350-pound offensive tackle did not see the field much during his time in Athens and redshirted during his freshman season
Hood, a sophomore, will have two years of eligibility wherever he decides to transfer to.
Hood played football for Hillsboro High School in Nashville, Tennessee. Hood was rated as a three-star recruit as a high school prospect.
