Georgia Bulldogs rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter is poised to turn heads in Year 1 with the Houston Texans. Lassiter, who was selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft, has a rare opportunity to start as a rookie.
In fact, Pro Football Focus recently named Lassiter as the rookie with “the most to gain” on the Houston Texans. Lassiter was a shut down cornerback for Georgia last season and is looking to continue his strong play into the NFL.
“Houston’s CB2 role is a wide-open battle, likely between Jeff Okudah, CJ Henderson and Lassiter,” said PFF. “A strong training camp for the rookie Lassiter could pay out in the form of an immediate starting spot.”
Lassiter is already holding his own against Texans’ star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
