Former Georgia Bulldog Jalen Carter is showing his dominance extends past the college level.
In six game appearances, the Philadelphia Eagles rookie leads all NFL defensive tackles in pass rush win rate (22%), per Pro Football Focus (PFF).
Carter was expected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft but dropped to the No. 9 spot after off-the-field concerns were raised. It seems those concerns have been put to bed: Carter is having one of the best rookie seasons at defensive tackle in recent memory.
The former All-American has racked up eight tackles, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles so far this season. Overall, PFF has Carter graded as the best interior defensive lineman in the NFL this season with a 91.3 grade.
Carter and the Eagles’ next test will be on the road against Washington Commanders. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
