Former Geordie Shore star Marty McKenna reveals whole new look on Instagram

His blond highlights made him stand out on Geordie Shore but now reality TV star Marty McKenna has revealed the very different look he's adopted in lockdown.

And fans who remember his sun-kissed hair from the show he left five years ago are set to do a double take.

In a photograph shared with his 639,000 followers on Instagram, Marty's blond locks are long gone and he is sporting a darker, retro-style shaggy hairdo and a chill-out tracksuit.

It's a far cry from Geordie Shore in which he appeared for more than a year, from 2015-2016, following his appearance in the third series of Ex on the Beach.

In his post, he hinted that he will be keen to get a haircut when lockdown restrictions lift.

He wrote: "Excuse me hair it's getting out of control now", accompanied by an emoji of a hand over a face.

The photograph shows Marty, who took part in an eventful Fame MMA fight at Newcastle 's Utilita Arena in 2019, leaning against a wall and posing in a black track suit, writing of it: "check out the fit on these bad boy tracksuits man".

And it seems that his fans clearly appreciated what they saw with the post quickly clocking up more than 1,550 likes.

One follower wrote: "Your hairstyle really suits you."

Before appearing on Geordie Shore, Marty dated his fellow cast member Chloe Ferry on and off for four years before they split in 2016, reports The Mirror.

In 2019, ahead of his MMA appearance in Newcastle, he spoke movingly about personal loss, revealing his mam, older brother and two sisters had all died within a few years of each other.
