A former fugitive who spent three months on the run before being found hiding on a boat in Darwin will be extradited to New South Wales to face court over an alleged shooting in Sydney.
Mr Horne was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after police conducting a search of a yacht in Darwin's Cullen Bay Marina found him hiding inside the hull of the vessel.
It ended a nationwide search for the 32-year-old that started in October when Mr Horne allegedly breached bail in New South Wales over charges of shooting a truck driver in 2020.
He was charged with a series of offences including kidnapping in company, robbery in company, discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and participating in a criminal group.
Mr Horne faced the Darwin Local Court on Friday for an extradition hearing on the charge of warrant of apprehension — interstate.
A request for his extradition to New South Wales was not opposed by his NT Legal Aid lawyer Christina White.
He is set to be transferred to the state on January 31 and appear in court there on February 1.
Two other men who were arrested this week in relation to Mr Horne's alleged escape also faced court in Darwin on Friday.
Michael Lazzarini and Sean Melia are each facing a charge of perverting the course of justice.
Both of their cases were adjourned to March 6.
Neither man applied for bail.
