The Cleveland Browns did not hit it big when they selected Baylor wide receiver Corey Coleman in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft. In fact, Coleman was traded just two years later in what turned out to be one of the all-time great Hard Knocks scenes where he stormed into Hue Jackson’s office, exclaiming “If you don’t want me to play, why don’t y’all just trade me.”
He quickly burned out of the league after that, spending time with the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants. Experiencing a resurgence, however, with the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars as he has been named to the All-USFL offensive team.
On the year, Coleman racked up 669 yards receiving and four touchdowns on 51 catches for the Stars. After this breakout in the USFL, will Coleman get another shot in the NFL?
