Jenny and Tom revealed they were expecting their first child together back in November. At the time, the actress revealed she was already 17 weeks pregnant.

In a touching post on Instagram, she said: "Just when we thought it may never happen. It happens. Some kind of sacred magic. Faith, positivity, determination.. & an act of god."

Announcing the pregnancy, the Dublin native went on to say: "We can’t wait to meet you. We can’t wait to meet both of you."

Jenny and Tom, who is a former Limerick TD, tied the knot in a stunning Dublin wedding in July 2019. They said "I do" front of Jenny's Fair City's castmates, including George McMahon, Donna Anita Nikolaisen and Dave O'Sullivan, and Tom's Dáil colleagues in Drumcondra before a lavish reception in Powerscourt Resort in County Wicklow.

Then Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and his boyfriend Matt Barrett, South Dublin's Kate O'Connell and Eoghan Murphy, Sean Kyne and Josepha Madigan were among the guests who toasted to the bride and groom on the day.
