Former Eurovision hopeful Katie Price got very excited watching the UK entry do so well in the international song contest last night on her luxury holiday.
Posting on her Instagram page the 43-year-old mum-of-five hollered, "Oh my God every one... United Kingdom, we're in the lead. Woohoo!"
However, victory was not to be - Sam Ryder 's track Space Man eventually ending up coming a very respectable second behind Ukraine's effort.
An ode to the mothers of the war-torn country who are striving to keep their children safe from harm in the midst of the ongoing conflict with Russia, the song Stefania by Kalush Orchestra was voted the overall favourite by a massive surge of good will from the telephone-voting European public.
Nevertheless, runner-up by 466 to Ukraine's 631 was still worlds way from how the UK fared in 2005, which is when Pricey herself stepped up to the mic to compete for a place representing Great Britain.
Back then the heavily pregnant glamour model - formerly known as Jordan - appeared in a pink diamante-covered latex catsuit singing a track called Not Just Anybody.
Described by critics as looking like a 'condom' her vocal abilities were also panned, meaning it was ex-Popstars: The Rivals contestant Javine Hylton who'd go on to fly the Union Jack in the live final that year.
That said, she didn't do too well either, only mustering a feeble 22nd place.
In fairness to Katie, however, she at least admitted to not having been the likeliest candidate to tackle Eurovision.
Having come off the back of her successful appearance on ITV's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, she had reportedly been offered a lucrative recording contract by music industry big wigs if she chose to audition.
"I can't sing that song now and I couldn't even sing it then - it's the cringiest thing," she confessed.
But that still didn't stop her from last year telling fans that she'd love a second crack at the continental kitsch fest.
"I reckon they should put me up to Eurovision, in a black catsuit this time. I'd smash it," she said.
