Former England boss makes Jude Bellingham prediction amid Todd Boehly transfer plan for Chelsea

Former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson has lauded Jude Bellingham, saying that a big club is almost certain to make a move for the teenage star who is set to play a key role for the Three Lions at the World Cup.

Bellingham has become a crucial part of Gareth Southgate's plans in the last 12 months, with a man of the match performance against Germany at Wembley in September. In addition to this, his performances for club side Borussia Dortmund have meant that he has attracted the interest of some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Chelsea.

In the Champions League he has produced excellent performances, earning the interest of clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool along with the Blues. These performances suggest that he may well be able to produce similar displays on the world stage at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Former England manager Sven has also revealed his admiration, suggesting that he is almost certain to make a move in the summer should he impress at the upcoming tournament in Qatar.

Speaking about his expectations for the Birmingham City academy product, he told Saxo: “He's playing in a great team and he's playing in arguably the second best league in Europe behind the Premier League. This has been the case for many years now.

"Playing for Dortmund, Bellingham won’t miss any chances to play in the national team. Some of the big Premier League clubs will come in for him. It will be important for him to play well at this World Cup, I'm sure that one of the big clubs in England will try to sign him in the summer.”

With Todd Boehly in the market for a new midfielder amid the uncertain futures of N'Golo Kante and Jorginho, Chelsea are one of several European giants keen to acquire Bellingham's services.
