A former Edinburgh city centre Michelin Star restaurant could be converted into a block of serviced apartments.
An application has been submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council which would see 33-34 Castle Terrace transformed into seven serviced apartments following its closure during the pandemic.
The fine dining establishment, which was opened by celebrity chef Tom Kitchin and Dominic Jack before earning a Michelin Star in 2012 and losing it three years later in 2015.

The property has lay vacant since the closure, with no new operators for the restaurant coming forward. Edinburgh City Council were previously considering plans which would have seen the space, which sits within a listed building, transformed into residential accommodation.
A Facebook message posted by Castle Terrace Chef Patron Dominic Jack in June 2020 said: "Sadly today, we have made the unavoidable decision to permanently close Castle Terrace.
"The impact of the coronavirus pandemic, along with the current guidelines, and no upcoming tourist trade in Edinburgh mean it is no longer financially viable for us to continue to operate.
"It is heart-breaking to close the doors after 10 successful years and it is not a decision we have made lightly.
"I want to personally thank all our loyal guests and visitors over the years, and for the special memories Castle Terrace has given me and my team. It’s a really sad day."
Frederick Properties Ltd, who acquired the property in 2022, plan to use the ground floor and lower ground floor to implement seven apartments, with external alterations also proposed.
A design and access statement prepared on behalf of the applicant says: "Initial strip out works have taken place at the property and the main conversion works commenced on 13 March 2023. The conversion works are ongoing and none of the proposed residential flats has been completed. There are no people living at the property."
