The former Nottinghamshire home of a renowned writer is up for auction. The three bedroom property on Lynncroft, Eastwood, was lived in by D H Lawrence for a number of years and was also where his mother passed away.
It was one of four properties in the area that the author lived in, and is now being sold by Auction House London with a guide price of £65,000. It was during his time in the house that the author started his writing journey, which led to his most famous novel 'Lady Chatterley's Lover.'
Nottinghamshire historian, Gavin Gillespie has been researching D H Lawrence for years. He said: "I've worked it out that he lived there from 1903 to 1908 and from 1908 he then moved to Croydon to be a school teacher.

"Then he returned back to the house in 1910 when his mother was dying as he was with his mother in that house when she died. I think he was living in the house from when he was 17 to 22."
Gavin explained that it was around the time D H Lawrence was living there that he was seeing Jessie Chambers. The pair were a couple for 12 years after they met in 1901. The D H Lawrence Birthplace Museum is in the neighbourhood, inside the house where the writer was born in 1885.
Andrew Binstock, co-founder of Auction House London, told the BBC: "On this particular occasion, what seemed like a very ordinary three-bed end-of-terrace house in Eastwood turned out to be something quite different. It seems to have captured quite a few people's imaginations, that's for sure.
"Every once in a while, you get a property that has an interesting back story which obviously makes the whole auction sector a bit more interesting. Traditionally with anything that has a celebrity angle, you would expect the price to be reflected in that because hopefully you will have more people bidding."
The house is described by the auction house as having a basement, two reception rooms, kitchen, shower room, three bedrooms and a bathroom. It is also close to local shops, amenities and open spaces, such as Coronation Park.
