Former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa reunites with on-screen dad Jake Wood

Former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa reunited with on-screen dad Jake Wood at a charity football match on Sunday.

The 29-year-old, who played Lauren Branning in the long-running BBC 1 soap joined 50-year-old Jake - who played Max Branning - at Stevenage Football Club's Lamex Stadium.

The duo were reacquainted on the pitch as Jacqueline, carrying a £1,400 Balenciaga handbag, sported a patterned mini-dress, black fleece and beige cowboy boots.

Jake, meanwhile, who departed Walford three years after Jacqueline, could be seen in an all black kit and Adidas boots prior to kick off.

The pair were involved in some fantastic plots in their years together - most notably the storyline that saw Lauren discover Max's affair with his daughter-in-law Stacey Slater - played by Lacey Turner.

Jake was taking part in Sellebrity Soccer - one of many charity matches that take place around the country.

Sunday's event raised money for the charity Hugh's Army.

Earlier this year it was revealed that things haven't always been rosy for former I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! winner, Jacqueline and her real-life family.

Her arrival in the world was considered a blessing and a "miracle", following two heartbreaking family tragedies.

The star's mum Selina, 65, and her father John sadly lost two baby boys years before she gave birth to Jacqueline.

The actress has previously spoken about the death of her two siblings, one to cot death and the other to an illness caused by lack of oxygen at birth.

Meanwhile, just two years after first appearing in Albert Square, the soap star's life took a dramatic turn off-camera, when her dad was sentenced to four years behind bars in 2012.

John Jossa was found guilty of stealing almost £500,000 of tax payers' money when he was head of finance at Enfield Council in north London.

Then in subsequent years Jacqueline's relationship with husband Dan Osborne has been plagued by rumours of infidelity on the dad-of-three's part.

The Essex native he's denied cheating with Love Island stars Gabby Allen and Alexandra Cane and having a threesome with his Big Brother co-stars Natalie Nunn and Chloe Ayling.
