Dundee FC legends are lining up to support Cammy Kerr for a special testimonial event.
Fan favourite Julian Speroni is the latest former player to confirm he’s returning to the city next month.
The Argentine goalkeeper will join Claudio Caniggia and other ex players on Saturday 28th May.
The inaugural event of Cammy’s Testimonial year will see Claudio talking about his incredible career in football including his time at Dens Park – a transfer that shook the footballing world.
Sponsored by Kilmac Construction Ltd, and hosted by Sky Sports’ Mark Benstead, it is a one-off ‘not-to-be-missed’ event and takes place at Duck Slattery’s showbar.
Claudio, who was capped 50-times by Argentina and is a former team mate and best friend of Diego Maradona – will discuss his World Cup heroics, his time in Italian football, being offered the chance to return to the national team at 43 years of age and his time at Dens Park - a move which stunned the world of football.
Julian spent three years with Dundee and the Argentine goalkeeper is a member of the club’s Hall of Fame.
He confirmed a special place in the hearts of all Dundee fans when he chose the club to be the opposition for his own testimonial for Crystal Palace.
Cammy was on the scoresheet for Dundee that night at Selhurst Park.
Cammy is a product of Dundee’s youth system and made his debut during the Championship winning season of 2013/14 under John Brown.
After two loan spells with Peterhead, Cammy returned in 2016 and has been a first team squad member ever since.
He has captained the club on a number of occasions and during the 2019/20 season and recently made his 200th appearance for the club.
