Former drugs baron Stephen 'Jimmy' Jamieson now deals in designer dogs to help fund plush lifestyle

Convicted drugs baron Stephen “Jimmy” Jamieson is dealing in designer dogs to help fund his plush lifestyle.

The dad – previously jailed for his part in a £9million drugs gang – has built a reputation peddling puppies in Glasgow’s southside.

And business seems to be booming for the former hood as he brazenly flashes expensive gear, top-of-the-range cars and luxury
holidays in a series of social media posts.

The Record’s campaign has previously revealed how hardcore drug dealers are moving “from drugs to dugs”, as huge rewards are available for zero risk in trading pups.

Jamieson regularly shows off new breeds for sale online and plugs Southside Bullies, an Instagram page offering “English & French bulldog puppies & stud services”.

A source said: “He buys top-end French bulldogs and English bulldogs and breeds them.

“He sells semen and studs them out at a minimum of £600 a go.

“The rest are kept at the homes of friends and family members and associates, on the basis they do two litters for him then the dogs become their pet after he gets that.

“He’s got the best dogs as they’re mainly imported. His dogs sell from £3500 upwards.”

Ironically, the 36-year-old’s love of dogs helped nail him in a multi-million-pound police surveillance sting 10 years ago, which picked up vital evidence as he took associates on a trip to buy a new pet for £1800.

Jamieson, Brian McCulloch, Steven Caddis and Gary Caddis pleaded guilty to supplying illegal drugs in 2009.

They were jailed for eight, 10, six, and five years respectively at the High Court in Glasgow.

The court heard how police received intelligence that Jamieson and several others were involved in “high-level criminality”.

The gang were running a multi-million-pound cocaine operation which brought misery to the streets of Paisley and other towns and villages across the west of Scotland.

But police listened and secretly taped the crooks as they boasted about the whopping profits they had made by peddling drugs to the weak and vulnerable.

All four men were nabbed after officers bugged Jamieson’s home and his expensive BMW X5 car.

At one point, McCulloch, Steven Caddis and Jamieson were monitored as they headed down south to buy a dog, called Benzo, for him. Jamieson was heard talking in the car about the purchase, saying it was a lot of money to be spent on a dog.

But the court heard Caddis replied: “It’s f*** all, f*** all tae us.”

The police sting – codenamed Operation Lockdown – ran from August 2007 to February 2009, involved up to 100 officers a day and cost an estimated £2.7million.

Jamieson was released in 2013 after four years in jail and returned to family life.

Two years later it emerged he had formed a close relationship with notorious gangster Jamie “Iceman” Stevenson, who was jailed in 2007 for laundering £1million of drugs cash. The pair are understood to have

They are pictured together on Jamieson’s social media and are reported to have taken a luxury holiday together in Dubai earlier this year.

This week it emerged that Jamieson’s £260,000 family home in Glasgow’s south side is owned by millionaire taxi boss Stevie Malcolm.

Malcolm, who owns a string of properties including a £9million Gleneagles mansion, stepped down as boss of one of his biggest firms, Edinburgh City Private Hire, last year.

Two new Range Rovers are often parked outside Jamieson’s four-bed detached new-build.

On his Facebook page on Monday, Jamieson posted: “Anyone needing me regarding dogs get me on bulliessouthside. This getting deleted.”
