The Miami Dolphins haven’t lost many of their own free agents so far this offseason, but one of them is going to an AFC East rival.
On Monday, the Buffalo Bills announced that they’ve signed wide receiver Trent Sherfield to a one-year deal.
Sherfield, 27, joined the Dolphins last offseason, following Mike McDaniel and Wes Welker to Miami from San Francisco. Despite joining the team as fringe wideout, he carved out a role for himself in the offense as essentially their third receiver.
In 17 games, Sherfield recorded career-highs in receptions (30), yards (417) and touchdowns (two).
Joining Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense, he could have even more success in his next stop.
