Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Zeke Vandenburgh is the newest member of the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League, according to UFL reporter James Larsen.
Vandenburgh, 26, joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2023 after racking up accolades at Illinois State University, including FCS defensive player of the year honors. But the linebacker spent his entire rookie season on the Dolphins’ injured reserve after he was placed on the list in training camp.
A leg injury suffered in preseason in 2024 again sent Vandenburgh to the IR, but the Dolphins waived the linebacker with a settlement before the end of August.
In 33 snaps across two preseason games before the 2024 season, Vandenburgh recorded three tackles with the Dolphins.
Vandenburgh will join a Showboats roster that also has former Dolphins wide receiver Daewood Davis, who signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent in 2023, as well.
The Showboats’ 2025 season is set to kickoff on March 30.
