It’s been an active week for the Miami Dolphins, as they’ve brought in and retained a number of free agents to get their roster ready for 2022 and beyond.
On Tuesday, however, Miami lost their second free agent this offseason, as center Greg Mancz agreed to a deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN’ Dan Graziano. The other free agent the Dolphins lost was Mack Hollins, who signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Mancz, 29, was traded to the Dolphins from the Baltimore Ravens, along with a seventh-round pick, for a sixth-round pick. He served as the backup center until Michael Dieter went down, forcing Mancz to step up.
The former Toledo Rocket started four games but suffered an injury of his own, that pushed Austin Reiter into the starting job.
At this point, the Dolphins only have Dieter for center options, so they’ll likely need to add another through free agency or the draft.
