Former Derby County striker Malcolm Christie has revealed how two nights out in Nottingham ended in disaster.
The 43-year-old told the stories of both nights, which lasted a combined 45 minutes before he was recognised by Forest fans. Christie, who played for Derby in the Premier League at the time, admitted it probably wasn't the best idea to go into Nottingham at the time.
He has not been on a night out in Nottingham since, he says, and told the full story on the latest episode of the Undr the Cosh podcast.

"I had two nights out in Nottingham and lasted the grand total of about 45 minutes," he said. "Me and my mate went out and I kind of knew that it probably wasn't a great idea as a Derby County forward in the Premier League.
"I'd always heard that Nottingham was a really good night out. We concocted this story that if anybody spoke to us that my mate was a Nottingham Forest player and I was his mate. That would get us out of any trouble we'd be involved with. In the first bar, I got a bit uneasy.
"This lad came over to me and it was quite loud noise and he went 'what are you doing here? I was just about to say I am here with my mate from Forest and I saw he had cocked his right hand. I ducked out the way and felt the wind of his fist come past me.
"This couple stood behind me grabbed me by the shoulder, pulled me back and I was pushed out of a fire exit. My mate followed me and we legged it. We ended up getting a taxi and going back to Derby. That was half-an-hour. In the other 15 minutes, Lee Morris and Adam Murray, decided we should go to Nottingham for a night out.
"I said lads it's not a good idea this. They said what do you mean? I said I lasted half-an-hour the last time and they were like there's no chance of that happening again. We pull in this bar, sat in this booth and there's only the lad who has thrown a punch at me. You couldn't write it.
"I ducked down and Lee went what are you doing? I said you know when I told you about that bar, he's just walked in. He was a biggish lad so Lee, Adam and I just got out the bar and said we just needed to go home. I've never been out in Nottingham since. Forest fans probably don't even like me to this day."
