Ryan Thomas has wowed fans as he showed off the results of his incredible 12-week body transformation. He's best known for playing Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street but this week viewers are seeing him in a different role as he competes in a new ITV show.
The actor is among the 12 celebrities competing in The Games. The new series, which began on Monday night (May 9) and airs live on ITV all week, sees Ryan and a few other famous faces battle it out in a sporting spectacular event across a week of live programmes.
The stars have been trained and coached for the events, including diving and weight lifting, for weeks but it all comes down to the live show where the celebrities will rack up points. At the end of the competition, the contestants who receive the most points will be awarded either a gold, silver or bronze medal with one male champion and one female crowned the winners of The Games.

Prior to his first appearance on the show, Ryan took to Instagram to share a look at his ripped physique. The star, 37, shared an impressive shot of himself in the gym, posing in just a hat and a pair of blue shorts with his washboard abs on display.
"The wait is finally over & what a journey it’s been 12 weeks of intense training learning 9 different athletic sports with some of the best coaches in the country," Ryan captioned the post to his millions of followers.
"With a massive thank you to my pt @michaelevansfitness preparing me mentally & physically for this challenge we worked so hard being dedicated to the routine, diet & determination."
Ryan's personal trainer Michael Evans also shared a before and after snap, showing how far Ryan has come in three months. Posting them side by side on Instagram, the PT said: "A huge amount of respect to Ryan, not only because of the results, but because of his commitment! Juggling training for @thegamestv show, family and social occasions and has remained consistent and pushed hard each and every week with no corners cut."
And Ryan's celeb pals and family were quick to share their support over his post. Brother Scott Thomas commented: " Shape on the lad!!! Let’s gooooo big bro." Fellow The Games competitor and The Wanted star Max George said: " Unbelievable work mate. So proud of ya. You’ve got this!"
Former Hollyoaks and Corrie actor Chris Fountain wrote: "Looking good brother," while Ex-Emmerdale star and Strictly Come Dancing winner Kelvin Fletcher commented: "Absolute rig."
The Only Way is Essex star Lydia Bright, who is best friends with Ryan's fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh, laughed: "Swit swooooooo @lucymeck1 quick marry him."
And fans were quick to gush over Adam's snap. @nicthecraft said: "Phooaarrh! Well done you. Hard work and dedication. I salute you." @xmelissaguerrero commented: "Wowwww Ryan! [flame emoji]."
@louo222 replied: "Holy s**t you look amazing!" as @sarahhende13 wrote: "What a transformation," and @jason.buckby.9 added: "Loooking amazing Ryan."
Ryan is currently expecting his second child with Lucy. The couple, who are also parents to son Roman, are preparing for the arrival of their baby girl any day now with the soap star revealing that he could be pulled off The Games at any moment if Lucy goes into labour.
Former The Only Way is Essex star Lucy announced she was expecting again in November when she shared a photo on Instagram. The adorable post showed her cradling her baby bump while her son looked at his own bare stomach. The couple, who got engaged in summer 2019 during a romantic trip to Italy, are currently renovating a home in Cheshire after Ryan bought the property without Lucy even viewing it.
