Former civilian Garda worker charged with leaking confidential information for cocaine

A former Garda civilian worker appeared in court yesterday charged with leaking confidential information in return for cocaine.

Holly Hayden, 26, faces five charges under the An Garda Siochana Act and the Corruption Offences Act, including disclosing details of Covid-19 checkpoints in South Dublin.

Daniel Webb, 33, also appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court, accused of bribing Hayden with drugs for information.

Hayden, of Charlesland Wood, Greystones, Co Wicklow, is charged with disclosing confidential information from the PULSE system on October 29, 2019, relating to an individual contrary to the Garda Siochana Act.

She is also charged with three counts of accessing confidential information from PULSE at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station and subsequently disclosing that information to corruptly obtain a gift, consideration or advantage on September 6 and 9 and October 29, 2019.

Webb, also of Charlesland Wood is charged with corruptly agreeing to give a gift, namely cocaine, or consideration or advantage to Hayden as an inducement to her to disclose info on the PULSE system on September 6 and 9, 2019.

Hayden was a Garda civilian staff member at the time of the alleged offences but is no longer employed there. The pair were remanded to a later date.
