Former Celtic youngster set for journey from lower leagues to Sri Lanka international system

A player once highly-rated at Celtic has been handed a chance to show his worth at international level with Sri Lanka.

Josh Bradley-Hurst is currently at Clyde after time learning his trade in the Parkhead academy system, which he left for a crack at English football with Birmingham City. He's been with the part-time Scottish League One side since 2021 and has been invited to a training camp with the Asian side. Bradley-Hurst initially arrived as back-up to David Mitchell and has featured eight times, including two outings this term.

A statement from the Bully Wee reads: "We are pleased to announce that Josh Bradley-Hurst has been invited to a Sri Lanka national team training camp Josh was born in Sri Lanka and aims to become the first Clyde player to win an international cap since 1967. All at the club wish Josh the best of luck at the camp."
