Leigh Griffiths will return to Scottish football for one game at Hibs' Easter Road as the Celtic invincible searches for his new club.
The former Hoops striker has been without a club since a short stint at Australian lower league club Mandurah City and has been training at Premiership side Livingston alongside Dylan McGeouch, another player who finds himself in free agency. He will get the chance to play in Leith during a charity fundraiser called The Match, raising funds for the Hanlon and Stevenson Foundation on Sunday November 20th. Griffiths featured 78 times during time at Hibs and netted 38 times.
A statement reads: "We hope to see as many supporters at Easter Road as possible on the day to enjoy an afternoon of entertaining football and a trip down memory lane – while raising much-needed funds in the process for some great causes. This will include ensuring children who need a helping hand are able to enjoy a better Christmas and assisting low-income families and elderly groups ahead of the winter months."
