Leigh Griffiths admits if it wasn't for his agent backing him up and restoring his hunger to succeed he would likely retire from football.
The former Celtic striker is on the hunt for a new club as the new season up and down the country gets closer and closer. The Scotland international spent time in Scottish League One with Falkirk last campaign but is now a free agent once again and searching for his next opportunity in the game.
Griffiths has revealed his agent has told him he just needs that one chance and he can get himself back to the top of the game. He is in no doubt he can still make a telling impact at the highest level and it is all about getting that opportunity to go and prove it. The ex-Celtic and Hibs striker is working hard behind the scenes to get himself in the best shape possible and has NOT ruled out trying his luck abroad.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, he said: "I have it back (hunger). I only have it as my agent believes I can still play at the top.
"If I didn't have him backing me up I would probably retire. It's difficult as a lot of people don't want to play for whatever reason.
"There comes a time when you think about whether you are going to get back to the level you were. But my agent tells me I just need a break, and when it comes, he fully believes I can get back to the top.
"There will be split-opinion on whether my career is finished, whether I need to go non-league or can still cut it at the highest level.
"For me, I can cut it at the highest level. I fully believe that so it's about getting the opportunity to prove myself again.
"I need to prove myself to people who keep doubting me and nowadays there seems to be more and more. You need to look at every option. Clubs might not want to be associated with me but I am working to get myself into the best shape.
"I want to be on the back pages for all the reasons. I would 100 per cent (consider a move abroad). It's something I have to consider."
