Former Celtic star earns £50 million transfer tag as he receives glowing Real Madrid interest

Muirhouse's Kieran Tierney is a £50 million target for Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer after the former Celtic star's first Scotland goal.

The left-back nodded in a header during the nation's 1-1 friendly draw with Poland as he continued his form at Arsenal.

Tierney joined the Gunners in 2019 from Celtic and has emerged as a potential captaincy candidate for the Premier League side pushing for a Champions League spot.

Reports recently suggested that La Liga powerhouses Barcelona and Real Madrid may be interested in a summer transfer swoop, but now the latter is stepping up their intent.

A report from the Sunday Post suggests Real’s chief scout, Juni Calafat, has provided a glowing report on the Lanarkshire star to boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian first attempted to sign the Scotland defender for Napoli from Celtic in 2019, but lost out to Arsenal's £25 million bid.

Now he is set to revive his interest after Tierney's 'potential to excel at the very top of the European club game' was revealed by Calafat.
