Kelty Hearts gaffer Michael Tidser has emerged as Dunfermline Athletic's top target to succeed James McPake.
The 34-year-old has been making a name for himself during his 21-month stint at Kelty, catching the eye of Pars hierarchy, according to a report in The Sun.
Earlier in the season, he was also on the radar of AFC Fylde, but now it looks like the Dunfermline are ready to make their move, and Tidser could be swapping one Fife club for another soon.
Having kicked off his career at Celtic's youth academy, Tidser played with clubs like Rotherham, Morton, and Ross County. He initially joined Kelty as a player in 2020 and took over as player-manager in April 2023, where he has shown great promise.

Should the move go ahead, Tidser’s first challenge would be to lift Dunfermline up the Championship table and secure their spot in the division. The Pars currently sit in ninth place, ten points clear of the relegation zone after a thrilling 3-3 draw against Falkirk in a tense post-Christmas clash filled with drama both on and off the pitch.
Caretaker manager Joe McLaughlan saw his side battle to a draw against their local rivals, but the encounter was overshadowed by crowd trouble, with flares thrown and damage reported both in the stands and on the pitch at East End Park.
