Former Celtic kid Doak could make £15m English Premier League move

Former Celtic kid Ben Doak is wanted by Crystal Palace, according to a report.

It's claimed the ex-Celtic academy prospect has been targeted by the Premier League side with a £15m bid submitted to Liverpool.

Doak - who is a full Scotland internationalist - is currently on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough from Liverpool.

However, The Scottish Sun reports Palace are keen to land Doak this month in a bumper transfer deal for the 19-year-old.

It's thought Doak is determined to make an impact at Liverpool after his loan deal ends but Palace have now entered the mix as potential suitors should the winger be receptive to a move for increased game time.

The ex-Celtic kid has played 20 times for Middlesbrough so far this term, netting twice and providing five assists.

He featured in all six of Scotland's Nations League matches in 2024 with six full caps to his name.

Doak left Celtic for Liverpool in March 2022 with a reported £600k compensation fee paid to the Parkhead club.

The winger had made his debut for Celtic aged just 16 under Ange Postecoglou but opted to move to Liverpool instead of signing a new deal in Glasgow.

He played for Liverpool for the first time five days after signing his first professional deal but then faced a spell on the sidelines due to knee surgery.
