Another former Ohio State football great has made history and this time he is taking it to the bank. Denzel Ward scored a huge new contract extension with the Cleveland Browns becoming the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history. Ward signed a five-year $100.5 million extension and of that $100.5 million, Ward will receive $60 million within the first three years.
Most Ohio State fans will remember Ward as one of the best corners in school history, earning consensus All-American honors in 2017 before becoming the fourth overall draft pick in 2018 to the Cleveland Browns. At only 24-years old, Ward already has a rather large bank account and we wish him good luck.
Loss of words, I’m blessed.I want to thank the Haslams, JW Johnson, Andrew Berry, coach Stefanski and the rest of the browns organization for continuing to to believe in the home grown kid and allowing me to represent this organization and city of Cleveland where I’m from @Browns

As always, we’ll keep our ears to the ground to see what former Buckeyes continue to do at the highest level of the game.
