Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap won a Super Bowl ring last year in Kansas City and remains a free agent, but he’s now headed back to the Greater Cincinnati area for non-football reasons.
Dunlap plans to open his second restaurant location, Honey Uninhibited, right on the river near the Bengals’ stomping grounds, as captured by Forbes’ Jeff Fedotin:
Several Bengals players and staffers also plan to attend this Sunday’s tasting at his new brunch spot, Honey Uninhibited, in advance of its expected opening during the second week of July.
It’s located in Covington, Ky., which is part of Greater Cincinnati, where he played the first 11 years of his career.
“It’s right on the riverfront,” Dunlap Jr. said. “You can pretty much see the stadium from where the restaurant is.”
Also tucked in there? Dunlap says he and the Bengals organization have a good relationship these days.
That doesn’t mean the Bengals would ever consider linking back up with Dunlap in a football capacity, especially given how things ended and after drafting Myles Murphy in the first round this year.
But for fans, it will be cool to see current and former Bengals around Dunlap and even have a chance to go to his restaurant themselves, especially after how well-received his first location in Miami was.
