Ex-Bachelor host Chris Harrison, 50, has proposed to girlfriend Lauren Zima, 33, and announced the news on Instagram.
The post includes a slideshow of photos from the proposal, which took place in picturesque Napa Valley, California. Harrison has deleted all other posts from his account.
“I love you @laurenzima,” the caption says. “The next chapter starts now!”
Zima also shared the news on her account, writing, “We tell each other this all the time, and we said it again in an unforgettably beautiful moment this weekend: I didn’t know love could be like this.”
The engagement comes just five months after Harrison’s exit from The Bachelor following his comments on contestant Rachael Kirkconnell’s racially insensitive behavior. The former host admitted he had not spoken to Kirkconnell about the posts and photos that had surfaced, but asked viewers to “have a little grace”. Many felt Harrison was speaking out of turn.
