
A group of over 60 former Democratic and Republican attorneys general have come together to advocate for the confirmation of Pam Bondi as the head of the Department of Justice. In a letter addressed to Senate leaders, these former officials highlighted Bondi's extensive prosecutorial experience, particularly during her tenure as Florida's attorney general for eight years.
The letter, which was exclusively previewed to sources, features signatures from more than 20 Democratic attorneys general or those appointed by Democratic governors. The group commended Bondi for her bipartisan work both within and across state lines, citing her successful track record as Florida's attorney general and her 18-year tenure as a state prosecutor in Hillsborough County.



According to the former attorneys general, many of whom have directly collaborated with Bondi, her qualifications and dedication to public service make her an exceptionally suitable candidate for the role of Attorney General of the United States. They lauded her unwavering commitment to public safety and upholding the rule of law, particularly emphasizing her efforts to combat violent crime, protect consumers, and address the opioid crisis during her time in Florida.
The signatories of the letter expressed confidence in Bondi's capabilities, describing her as a respected member of the State Attorney General community who is poised to serve with distinction as the United States Attorney General.
